Hey Everyone,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It's almost unbelievable that we're already in the new year. It seems like just yesterday that 2009 started. Well I wish everyone well in the new year. I personally see this new year as an opportunity to get things right with God, grow closer to Him, mend broken friendships, forgive people who may have hurt me, grow closer to friends and family and to be a better person overall. Well, the way I see it, we never know when we ourselves are going to die, neither do we know when somebody who has been a part of our lives is going to die. Either way it many happen, not that I'm praying for it, it should not have us live with a lifetime of regret or guilt.

As I stated previously, I do intend on recognizing the people who have and are contributing to Literature and so I added a writers page. This page will also be used to promote the work of others so if anyone has any Literature that they would like to share, please feel free to contact me (I also added a contact form).

Well, I couldn't help but to start the new year with some poetry...(Actually I was looking for a new year prayer but didn't find any so I settled for a poem). I hope you like it!

I Am the New Year. . .

I am the new year. I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.

I am your next chance at the art of living. I am your opportunity to practice what you have learned about life during the last twelve months.

All that you sought and didn’t find is hidden in me, waiting for you to search it but with more determination.

All the good that you tried for and didn’t achieve is mine to grant when you have fewer conflicting desires.

All that you dreamed but didn’t dare to do, all that you hoped but did not will, all the faith that you claimed but did not have these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened by the touch of a strong purpose.

I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Him who said, "Behold, I make all things new."
